Gabriele Tarquini will be allowed to start from 12th position in both of Sunday's World Toruing Car Championship races around the streets of Marrakech, after stewards revised their decision to strip him of his lap times from both parts of qualifying. The Italian's Lukoil SEAT Leon was found to be underweight in post-qualifying technical checks, leading to the initial penalty. As a result of the revised decision, Tarquini will only lose his Q2 times, where he qualified fifth, and will not now be forced to start from the back of the grid
