Zanella sets early pace at Paul Ricard

Christopher Zanella set the early pace at Paul Ricard, setting the fastest time in Friday's first Formula 2 free practice session. Daniel McKenzie topped the timings screens for most of the session, the Britonn being one of the few drivers to have visited the circuitl previously when racing in Formula Renault 3.5 in 2011. He was ultimately beaten by Zanella, who clocked a time 0.170s quicker on his final lap of the session
