Conway takes pole on IndyCar return
Mike Conway will start the second of this weekend's IndyCar races in Detroit from pole position after a superb performance in qualifying at Belle Isle on Saturday morning. The Brit, who is making a one-off appearance in the second Dale Coyne Racing entry, set the fastest overall time in the first test of the new double-header qualifying system , comfortably leading the second group with late 1m18.0977s. His nearest rival from the group was Penske's Will Power, who finished up 0.06 seconds in arrears and will start from third.
