WTCC equalises cars’ base weights

The FIA Touring Car Committee has announced that all cars participating in the 2013 World Touring Car Championship will run at the same minimum weight of 1150 kilos, including the driver. In order to achieve weight equalisation between different machinery, the weight of the BMW 320TC and Chevrolet Cruze 1.6T models has been reduced by 10 kilos. A list of eligible cars, published in an appendix to the championship's sporting regulations, includes all the 2012 WTCC machines except the Lada Granta Sport.
